This two-hour orientation session, followed by a fast paced online training session which you can complete at your convenience, prepares you to start making a difference in your life and in the lives of others.
During the Vision Literacy Volunteer Orientation you will learn about rewarding opportunities to change the lives of others in so many ways. Train to be a tutor, teach computer classes, join the social media team, be part of the assessment team, or share your talents in other ways.
At the end of the orientation you will have the opportunity to purchase a very popular and informative manual to support you in tutoring adults who are ready and eager to learn basic English Language skills of speaking, reading and writing.
Basic literacy and computer skills are the life lines for better jobs, are needed to support the success of children in school, and build the confidence critical to having a voice on community issues.
Vision Literacy is a nonprofit organization that serves adults throughout the Bay Area who dream to read and write as easily as you can read this message.
Registration is easy. Call: 1.408.676.7323 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The orientation is FREE. Please join us and begin your own rewarding journey as a literacy volunteer.
